Sustainable Advocates: Encouraging Sustainable Choices Among Young VET Learners

This initiative provides young vocational education and training (VET) students with the tools and motivation to make ethical consumer choices, aiming to tackle the climate, waste, and labor impacts of fast fashion.

Target Groups
Young VET learners (ages 18–25), VET educators, policymakers, industry professionals, and advocacy organizations.

Key Activities
– Education & Reflection: Teaching learners about fast fashion’s harm to climate, resources, and workers while encouraging critical reflection on their own shopping habits.
– No Fast Fashion Challenge: A 30-day interactive experience where learners cut back on fast fashion purchases and document their journey.
– Curriculum Support: Supplying VET providers with an infographic toolkit to integrate sustainability skills into their teaching.
– Policy Guidance: Creating targeted briefs with actionable steps for consumer education sectors.

Expected Outcomes
Boosted awareness of fast fashion’s environmental and ethical toll.
Lasting habits shift via the 30-day challenge.
Production of 6 infographics and 9 policy briefs.
Outreach to 300+ stakeholders to embed sustainability directly into VET curricula.
